The Mindthol Method: One Simple Ritual, Three Daily Brain Cues

Here’s how the Mindthol Method turns your kit into an all-day, brain-supporting rhythm:

Step 1 – Morning: FOCUS (Prime Your Brain For The Day)

  • Twist the FOCUS bottle into your waterless diffuser.

  • Set the timer for 1 hour.

  • Let the blend of peppermint, lemon, frankincense, and rosemary fill your space while you work, plan, or get ready for the day.
    This becomes your daily “brain on” cue—helping support clarity, alertness, and mental activation while your brain receives consistent olfactory input.

Step 2 – Afternoon: UPLIFT (Beat The Slump, Protect The Momentum)

  • Swap in UPLIFT and set to 1 hour.

  • Bright notes of bergamot, lemon, jasmine, and tangerine help create an energizing, feel-good environment instead of crashing into the afternoon wall.
    Now your afternoon is anchored to a positive scent ritual that keeps your mind engaged and your space feeling fresh.

Step 3 – Night: CALM (Wind Down & Support Sleep Rituals)

  • In the evening, twist in CALM and set the diffuser for 1 hour as part of your wind-down routine.

  • Lavender, bergamot, sandalwood, and chamomile help signal to your brain: “It’s time to slow down.”

  • Over time, this repeated nighttime scent becomes a powerful cue for relaxation and sleep—while also giving your brain that nightly olfactory enrichment researchers are so excited about.

Morning = Focus.
Afternoon = Uplift.
Night = Calm.

Three oils. One diffuser. One hour at a time. A daily structure your brain can learn, expect, and respond to.

Why This Kit Works So Well For Busy People

  • Set it and forget it: Just twist the bottle into the waterless diffuser and tap the 1-hour setting. No mess, no flames, no complicated setup.

  • Stacked with science-backed thinking: Instead of random scent use, you’re giving your brain consistent, repeated exposure at the same times every day, which is how habits and cues form.

  • Supports your life, doesn’t disrupt it: You don’t have to journal for 30 minutes or meditate for an hour. You just let scent run in the background while you live your life.

  • Your space smells amazing: Office, bedroom, living room, dorm—everywhere smells better, while doing something meaningful for your brain.

You’re not just buying oils. You’re installing a daily olfactory routine designed to support your brain, mood, and sleep—on autopilot.

Essential Oils and Pets 🐶🐱

WE LOVE PETS TOO!

Nearly every serious case of essential oil illness in pets in the veterinary literature involved concentrated oil being applied to the animal's skin or swallowed — not the aroma in the air. The largest review, 443 cases reported to the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center, involved 100% tea tree oil applied directly to pets. The ASPCA's own guidance is that oral and skin exposure are more concerning than inhalation, and that a diffuser used for a short time in an area your pet can't reach "is not likely to be an issue."

Two things are genuinely true and worth knowing. Cats lack certain liver enzymes that help break down essential oil compounds, so their margin for error is smaller than ours. And any strong aroma can irritate sensitive airways, which shows up as watery eyes, drooling, coughing, or labored breathing.

How to diffuse safely with a cat or dog

  • Never leave the door closed. Diffuse in an open, ventilated room your pet can walk out of whenever they want. Their nose is far more sensitive than yours.

  • Keep the diffuser and the bottles out of reach. The real risk is a knocked-over unit or a licked bottle, not the aroma. Store oils like you would cleaning products.

  • Start at 30 minutes, not three hours. Build up only if your pet is completely relaxed. Less oil, less often, is the whole game.

  • Don't run it in the room where your pet sleeps or eats. Choose your office, kitchen, or living room instead.

  • Never apply Mindthol oils to your pet, and never add them to their food, water, bedding, or grooming products.

  • Watch them once, deliberately. During the first session, look for drooling, coughing, sneezing, watery eyes, wheezing, hiding, wobbliness, or vomiting. If you see any of it, turn the diffuser off, open a window, and move your pet to fresh air.

When not to diffuse at all

  • Birds. Bird respiratory systems are extremely sensitive. The ASPCA advises against using an essential oil diffuser in a home with birds. Please don't.

  • Any pet with asthma, allergies, or a history of breathing problems.

  • Very young, very old, pregnant, or ill pets — ask your veterinarian first.

  • Small caged animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters) kept in the room, since they can't leave.

Prefer zero exposure? Use a Memory Stick instead.

Our Memory Sticks are personal nasal inhalers. You hold one under your nose and breathe — the scent goes to you, not into the room. You get the full daily olfactory enrichment ritual with essentially no ambient exposure for your pets. Many of our customers with cats, birds, or asthmatic pets use Memory Sticks exclusively.

If you're worried about your pet

Move them to fresh air and contact your veterinarian. In the U.S. you can also reach the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435 or Pet Poison Helpline at (855) 764-7661 (a fee applies).
